WHO WE ARE

National Alliance is a Civil Society Organisation network not for profit. We work to make a Timorese have a better life free from tobacco related disease and acheaving healthier life and well-being to every age and social background 

WHAT WE DO

Our primary role is to direct and coordinate Civil Society Organisation to aware and work closely to the community and the government to advocate public health and community well-being thorough tobacco control advocay program in order to reduce non-communicable disease morbidity and mortality nationally and globally.

THESE ARE OUR MAIN AREAS OF WORK:

  • Health systems
  • Promoting health through the life-course
  • Advocate tobacco prevention policies 
  • Noncommunicable diseases
  • Corporate services
  • Preparedness, surveillance and response.

WHERE WE WORK

Our Secretariat office in Dili - Timor Leste functioning and plays central role to organise all the alliance activities in thirteen districts of Timor Leste.

WHO WE WORK WITH

We work with various local and internatioanal stakeholders. We strongly collaborate with the Ministry of Health of Timor Leste and World Health Organisation country office in Timor Leste to strengthen and ensure benefit of our existance to our community.

We gratefull to have our international partner Deakin University (www.deakin.edu.au) by supporting us in tecnically and finnacially. Professor John Toumbourou have been supporting us as supervising the alliance strategic action plan base on evidence based health promotion science.

Many Hands International (www.manyhands.org.au) is our important partner in assisting the Alliance from the beggining of its stablishment until today. Dr Kim Dunphy and her staff at Many Hands International have given its outstanding support for the alliance exsistance.
